Dez (Isa Perfect Dream) - 2002 APHA Gelding:

Isa Perfect Dream is a sorrel and white Tobiano gelding. He is solidly built while still offering a refined look. He stands at 15 hands high. He is has a well-balanced and proportionate conformation. He has proven to be sound and healthy during a highly active performance and pleasure-riding career. He has a disposition that anyone would love to have in a horse. Last, but not least, he is beautifully colored. Read on to see how he has proven himself so far… He is very active in various disciplines, and takes each new challenge with a patient and willing attitude. He has been a very well mannered gentleman at all of the public events he has attended.Dez has successfully competed his first two seasons (2006 and 2007) as a Jr. Horse (5 years and under) in IHA and AQHA shows. He has shown in western pleasure, western equitation, halter, trail, western riding, reining, gaming, and dressage. He is improving at each event he attends, and is a pleasure to ride in this wide range of disciplines.

Dez has now participated in two years of the NATRC Challenge of the North, Competitive trail ride. He has proved to be a worthy competitor. Dez has covered the 50-60 mile distance with no problems over the two-day ride. Dez’ extremely calm and level headed disposition has been an attribute in these events–he has always taken water, bridge, and all other obstacle challenges willingly, putting his trust in his rider. In the 2007 Two Rivers NATRC ride, Dez earned the second place horse award and high point horse and rider team award for the competitive pleasure division.

He has gone camping and trail riding in Chitna, Haystack Mountain, Homer (Trail Trial Extraordinaire), on the Chena River, and of course along the Alcan coming to Alaska. His calm, kind, and levelheaded disposition has again proved itself time and again during our adventures.

Dez has produced two APHA foals. Both has inherited his flashy color, correct conformation, and wonderful disposition (already showing in his two day old foal). Dez’ most recent foal is out of our AQHA mare. We look forward to raising another well-rounded riding horse that will excel in performance events and be a joy to work with.
